What a powerful piece. Thanks. I saw only one error: Actually three, not two, recent American Presidents have stood up against terrorism. Both Bushes and Reagan.

The real problem is....

Matthias Dapfner, Chief Executive of the huge German publishing house Axel Springer AG, has written a blistering attack in DIE WELT (The World), Germany's largest daily newspaper, against the timid reaction of Europe in the face of the Islamic threat.

he is a businessman, NOT a politician... unfortunately... very possibly irrelevant when it comes to make policy...

why is it that most (if not all) politicians don't have these views....

what sort of SICK mind allowed for Yasser Arafat to be considered a diplomat... which in turned allowed for terrorism to flourish some 35 years ago...

we badly need more of Mathias Dapfner's views to make policy, and stop the terrorists in their tracks NOW, before they do us all in
