which points exactly to the not so hidden bias and political agenda behind such linquistic maneuvers, certainly 'protester' is much less emotive than 'terrorist', useful when engaging in appeasement Whether out of political bias or not,... 'not helpful to conflate the two' ...it seems to me that ionesco wants terrorism to be all about protest (conflate) and you want it to have nothing to do with protest (separate). I think it's more complicated than that.
