"Neither you nor I can act as proxy for the absence of a self interest in the zygote or fetus because we would be violating the fundamental rights of the woman. "

There is a current case where Mrs. Torez has gone into a coma as a result of Cancer. She has now been pronounced brain dead. At the time of her coma she was fifteen weeks pregnant. The Doctors expect to deliver the baby prematurely in 1 1/2 to 3 weeks.

I heard about the case on the radio and haven't been able to find an article yet.

Would you support disconnecting Mrs. Torez at this point and not delivering the baby?

"As legal rights rest upon the foundation of "inalienable" rights--legal personhood may only be (logically) granted when inalienable rights may (logically) exist.

Personhood is granted to those endowed with inalienable rights and those endowed with enalienable rights are legally persons.

No problem.

"Inalienable rights (of humans) may logically exist when two conditions are fulfilled:

1). The entity is genetically of human classification, and

2). the entity is not physically intertwined with the body of another for life support."

Part 2 of your conditions is under dispute. Siamese (conjoined) twins?
