Go because you want to - not because you think you need to escape politics, that crap changes every 4-8 years. I don't regret the eight years I spent outside the country - would have stayed even longer if I had not gotten married and had kids.

He's actually from Western NY, which is mostly conservative except for Buffalo, which is pretty liberal -- and that's his city.
