I've travelled in many countries and let me tell you the cardinal rule is if someone that looks like a policeman yells at you in any language stop, hold your hands out to your sides or over your head, and stop moving. I've also heard over the last few weeks of police yelling stop, evacuate, and get down. IF you don't speak the language, which are you going to do. How do know that plains clothes policemen look like policemen? I thought the whole point of being plains clothes is so you don't look like a policeman. Paranoia works in both directions. There's a lot of paranoia of more bombings. There have also been a lot of threats levied against Muslims after the bombings. And they're paranoid that they will be killed. Paranoia affects people's rational behavior. Reading the news I heard 3 versions of how this guy was executed in a London tube station...What's Tony Blair's strategy? The only good running dark skinned guy is a dead one? I'm trying to be generic here. Which is why I don't have a good sense of what those actual events were. Keeping in mind that Brian thinks I failed [or didn't take]Logic 101. I expect that the pendulum will swing rather dramatically and rapidly. The London police roughed up a couple of Muslim women, one with a baby; sent one off to a hospital and then released them both. I will say that IF one of the objective of the terrorists is to create fear they're doing a pretty good job at it. jttmab
