I believe a woman will have to find a doctor willing to do such an operation first. My understanding is that at nine months, even if there is a danger to the health of the mother and the baby needs to be out of there NOW, they stick pitocin to the woman's arm and induce labor. Baby is born, not "aborted". One of the points I raised and you ignored a couple of posts back was the extreme rareness of late-term abortions. Care to comment on that now? 59% of reported legal induced abortions were known to have been obtained at <8 weeks' gestation and 87% at <13 weeks (Table 6). Overall (40 reporting areas), 25% of abortions were known to have been performed at <6 weeks' gestation, 18% at 7 weeks, and 16% at 8 weeks (Table 7). Few reported abortions occurred after 15 weeks' gestation: 4.2% at 16--20 weeks and 1.4% at >21 weeks. cdc.gov Do you have reason to believe that those 1.4% abortions after 21 weeks (which is nowhere near 9 months, and not even in the third trimester, btw) are due to "convenience" rather than medical necessity? You should "bother" to find out what the current state of the Laws are I know enough - that both in US and Canada, the courts' position is that the fetus does not have rights as a person until birth. "A fertilized egg is not a human being at any definition of the word" It certainly is. Please define "human being".
