The issue appeared to be interesting.

How we handle China is our most important FA issue. The Europeans have consigned themselves to secondary status for the forseeable future. The ME is an economic cesspool. South America and Africa are jokes. Asia is real playing field for this century.

It would not be a normal rational move. In conflict emotions can run high. Strategy and tactics can be convoluted. I hope you are correct. The issue appeared to be interesting.

I see China being ruled by a committee. They think highly of engineers. More and more the committee will be made up of engineers. In my mind, a committee of engineers are not going to do anything really stupid, but at the same time they are not going to anything highly creative and innovative. They are more likely to go into paralysis through analysis.

I don't think we have anything to worry about wrt competition.

For us, the enemy is really us. We have to get our act together and the world will have a tough time catching up to us. But, if we elect small minded politicians, we will be in trouble.
