So what do you think would have happened had the Feds not tightened? What was their intent in the first place? If inflation can't be contained, why even bother?

Several millionaires told me just up until a few weeks ago the bond market made them feel easy - this week they say bonds may not be so good an investment for the future - hehe.

I can't see protecting the dollar as being a mission of our fed - fighting inflation and keeping growth is their directive no?

If it is keeping political/military control of oil or protecting the dollar - I don't have much hope for the dollar.

Why would protecting the dollar be in the dems agenda? a weaker dollar will help all thier poor voters get jobs no? Why would protecting the dollar be in the repubs agenda? Protecting the dollar helps who and hurts who?
