Dear Mr. Najjar, Editor, Al-Jazeerah.info Saddam was not a dictator he was a blood thirsty tyrant. Without UK/US invasion Iraqis would not have been able to see free elections and Shiites of Iraq would have been subservient to Sunni triangle rule the majority being ruled by a cliché that helps everyone else in the neighbourhood, Shiites have shown exemplary spirit and have been able to free Iraq from despotism of Baath party. Kurds and the Shiites with moderate middle Iraq will be able to create harmony and peace that was missing since 1979, Iraq Iran war was a war between brothers, the entire Islamic world kept distant from awful kil! lings, the present crisis have resolved 26 years of highhandedness of a dictator in the neighbourhood. He had to be thrown out and what happened to him is the nature's response to a super dictator, other bigger dictators removed him in most undemocratic fashion, they made him run to the hole like a rat. OBL faces same fate. . He was single headedly responsible for massacre of minorities in Iraq. He denied mass freedom, his state apparatus had such a air of terror that nothing could have flushed him out, it was not about Wmd's, it was about flowering a democracy in ME, 8 million people voted that what counts, Iraq emerging as a responsible nation within comity of nations that is the call Sir. Where was our conscience when Halebja was being gassed, where was our conscience that dances so much when Hama was being destroyed, as far as a Muslim or Arab despot kills another Muslim it is OK, but in today's world the civilizational development will not allow Arab militia Janjaweed to eliminate Muslim b! lacks. Welcome to a new era, Palestinians have been led by self destructive leadership bent on providing young blood s canon fodder, peace can only be ensured through negotiations, the lop sided power gap allows Israel to destroy Palestine without impunity and to hell with a leadership that continues to send their youngster in a vain fight, from 1948 they have lost every war collectively and singularly, now do we want ourselves to be nuked? President Mush said a very nice thing in USA, he said when a cannot fight I lower my eye, the intransigence and false bravados of the despotic Arab leadership has destroyed any hope of development, with all the wealth we are at the lowest wrung of UN based HDI ladder, collective research paper citations in excess of 40 published within the entire Arab world is pathetic, the entire Oil income of Libya is spent by the 'Leader' without any consultation, what are we humans or some degraded form of life? This is a new world of change; look at Lebanon they are demonstrating against Syrians not Israelis! Even Marionettes ex Syrian hubbies and Junbluut are fed up with this dictatorial setups, freedom is most important, Arab world is enslaved by its leadership, first we need freedom and than we will talk about US or UK invasions, Kuwait In 1990 was raped by Saddam when Arab League was unable to do anything about it, Arafat sided with the loser, like Mufti Hussieni sided with Hitler and offered him Auschwitz in Palestine. All this came to haunt the Palestinian people when spoils were distributed! One reads so often in the press that the plight of Muslims is aggravated by 'vicious' US meddling in their affairs. We are told that it is this unwelcome interference that prompts radical Muslim violence of which both America and Islam have been recent victims. Really? This is what makes "Rip Van Winkle of a nation" an apt description of the Islamic community. The gross hypocrisy resident within mainstream mores of Islamic polity has led the nation of Islam into a collective rage of vanity and powerlessness. The enemy within is rarely found to be the culprit. Today the Arab press is hysterical over civilian casualties in Iraq but simply ignores the genocide of Muslim population in Sudan. Is it because in this case it is Arab northerners who are systematically wiping out the black Muslims in the Darfur region? Whilst the Arab press affirms its nationalism and hatred for America, with headlines such as "America will pay the price sooner than it thinks. There are no limits to American injustice and highhandedness. Despite its power and tyranny America will not win because it has no humanitarian values," one wonders why nobody condemned Saddam for 5,000 dead in a single day in the chemical attack on Halebja, or Assad, or 30,000 killed in Hama? Dear Latif, Thank you for your confirming your position. Apparently, you support the US-supported Israeli invasion of the Middle East. History told us that it won't work, like the crusades before. People all over the world and throughout history did not accept foreign invasions and foreign occupations. Arabs and Muslims are not an exception. Freedom and democracy have to be from within, not from the invaders who have their own agenda of domination and control over other people's resources. With regard to Israel's arsenal of Weapons of mass destruction, it doesn't apply to the Palestinian people or towns. They are too close to Israeli towns. Palestinians are not afraid from these weapons that's why they forced Sharon to announce withdrawal from Gaza. By the way, where do you live and what do you do for living?
