If Jesus was God incarnate, his whole mission was to free man from the bondages of manmade religion. The religious leaders were attempting to use their self righteous egos to elevate themselves above other men. They used this power to disgrace other men and empower themselves. They use the instruments of religion to corrupt themselves against other men. Western society has gone to great lengths to secularize religion and remove it from all contexts of society. Freedom of religion was never meant to be the abolition of God, but a profound appreciation for all traditions of God. The courts in the US sure messed it up. God stands above all, he is the univeralism. Men that try to stand up for God to impose their will over other men are self righteous hypocrites. Islamic society has gone to great lengths to preserve religion as the cornerstone of law. They have sacrificed human rights for self rightoeus purity. Democracy is limited to the narrow definition of public elections. There is no free will in their society. Hence, we are better off letting them enjoy their traditions of oppression. Or not... since they will not let Christians and Jews enjoy their own traditions. It's a circular motion of blame.
