Whenever a small group of people control a vast array of weapons and change power in mysterious behind the scene ways, they deserve keeping a close eye on. Enemy is an extreme definition of our relationship. Having mutual interests such as the growth of free market capitalism is one thing, friends who can be trusted is another.

The communists in China are more ruthless and disturbing than many in America know or would believe. And they will do almost anything to retain power. Aiming missiles at Taiwan simply because they desire a democratic free society is not someone I would call a friend. If they shoot those missiles, or land those armies on Taiwan’s shores, I would quickly call them an enemy to civilization.

Some people in Tibet would probably agree with me.

"In 30 years the communists will all be gone. We need to deal with them during this period as equals. We need no more enemies. Islamic fascism is enough."

Interesting thoughts. I hope the central control of their economy and out of control judiciary are casualties by then.
