Which war are you thinking of? Vietnam under Johnson or Korea under Truman? I guess you don't think Reagan won the cold war without a major shot fired.

I dunno, LBJ pretty much farked up Vietnam....Nixon didn't do any better. Both sides have been pretty incompetent since WWII at this, IMHO, right up to 41 snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the Gulf War.
