BC and MC -- as I thought was clear from my posts yesterday, I was asking AJ why SBUX wasn't the same pattern as all the others he's spotted (which, as he's pointed out, are largely still in play). I dcan make the argument that the SBUX pattern was one of the better ones of that ilk, and might even fit the volume/positioning metrics of a true H+S bottom. Many of the ones AJ has found are merely SHAPED like one, to my eyes, and therefore are probably some other pattern. Doesn't mean they won't hit similar targets. SBUX is a good example of this. I dunno if it's an iH+S. As you well said, the decline into it was actually pretty substantial and unusual for SBUX -- some sort of trend change, certainly, though not sure what time frame. Still, if that was a trend change, then within that same timeframe, this could be an H+S bottom. I frankly don't much care. My big question for AJ was "why is this pattern different from all other patterns?" (I actually have four questions, but only asked one <g>). He told me why he viewed it differently... and that's all I wanted to know. I agree with MC that many of AJ's patterns aren't "real" inverse H+S. But it might just be a terminology issue. Some of the longer term ones might very well be perfect bottoms... and they point a lot higher. So they're definitely worth keeping an eye on.... Who knows, maybe KLAC and MERQ and others reporting tonight will get us there tomorrow <g>

For BC and the Freep.. However this exchange got started, clear to me at this point that this is NOT something I want to continue.. I have long made clear my views on "excessive sightings", and thrown a certain amount of ridicule that way......as I have also felt free from time to time, perhaps with misguided attempts at humor.....to appear to ridicule a variety of other approaches.....the Bradleys, for instance... as well as MY OWN "obsessive-compulsions" with SMA voodoo...g... Have thought I was always careful to note in this connection "to each his own"....we all gravitate to using what we are most familiar/comfortable with...And I, for one, even with my relatively intolerant approach, have never failed to note kudos when due for successes using approaches completely beyond my ken.........."forks", a particularly good example on this thread........g And as for you and "iH&Ss", BC.........you are certainly the last person around here I would associate with "excessive sightings".........You've mentioned some, of course, as we all have, which have entered the discussion here one way or another....One of those "accidents of fate"..??.......you happened to drop around just as I began one of my intemperate fulminations yesterday.........<VBG> And another of the mysteries of what developped, Freep, was your sudden beatification......of all people!!.....as Defender of the iH&S Faith....Sure I've heard you muttering about "sightings" as often as I...!!..LOL Getting late....and I've rambled enough.......Hope my idea coming through...best if we forget about this as one of those "understandable" exuberances which may get out of hand from time to time in an operation as heavily emotion-laden as this one can be. As a minimum, fellows.......let's sleep on it !!
