If inflation was truly 0 this computer should cost $100.
Don't confuse human progress and productivity with deflation.
(model T ford went down in price from $800 to less than $100 between 1909 and 1914 due to efficiency in manufacturing).

On the other hand I recently bot an airline ticket from cal. to ny and paid 179 round trip.

You paid the price that does not cover the cost, that is why most airlines lose money. Unless you flew an airline with $50K a year pilots and no meals as opposed to $200K/year pilots and full service.

people have selective memories.
That said, there is no doubt about two things

1) Loose credit built a housing bubble and that is the basis for almost all the inflation that people see
2) The housing bubble will be entirely unwound
