this world was his reflection

Reflections are reversed. The world of men is the opposite of the kingdom of God - thus the focus of religion(s) upon rejection of worldy wealth and power.

Sun: Here is an interesting link on predestination and free will.

In no way do I believe that individualism defies religious doctrine. Any person that exercises their personal responsibility to God over other people becomes a danger. Human rights are what protects us against the extreme judgements of religion. This world would be upside down if we let religious leaders have their way with the law. Without pointing fingers at specific countries, I think that some Islamic countries have exemplified religious totalitarianism.

Religion should not be about oppression.
