We lost the ability to assimilate immigrants and make them Americans when the "melting pot" theory was discarded

Multi-culturalism and PC weds people to their ethnicity and prevents assimilation.

There has been a forty year assault on patriotism and nationalism because it was considered to be part of the cause of the WW II.

Something else to thank the liberals for; they drive us apart and weaken the country.

It hinders us now, and there will have to be a shift away from the philosophy that divides America into competing ethnic groups.

If the new immigrants who come here don't want to assimilate, then this isn't the country for them. There are other countries that don't offer what America does, but then, that's their choice.

No where on earth can any individual go into another country, plop his gear down, and say, "I'm here to exploit the riches of your country for myself, and I'm going to start by changing your country to fit the patterns of the land I left behind"....

America IS America because we are a Nation of LEGAL immigrants (with the exception of the last two decades), and hopefully, that we will continue to live under one flag, one set of laws, and hopefully, one language as our National language.

We celebrate our cultures, and origins, and ancestors, as well as our children, and the future of our Country.

I agree with you. The thing that makes America a great nation is the melting pot phenomenon. Just as pure bred dog breed become sickly and develop inbreeding problems, civilizations suffer from the same phenomenon. Muts bring new and different combinations together and the weak genes are masked by strengths in other breeds. America has benefited from this, and I hope that legal immigration will continue for the foreseeable future.
