That is what's so funny. They want to make certain nobody else is sinning. They are very like the Puritans with the Scarlet Letters and wood to burn witches. "In my mind, that she-devil tried to seduce me, and then, when she didn't, I turned her in as a witch casting spells on my brain." That's an old story. Back in the 12th century, the top priest in Jerusalem, The Patiarch, tried to jump a young babe. When she wouldn't do the deed, he accused her of witchcraft. Fortunately, the Levantines were fairly liberal by then and they laughed it off as the rantings of a horny old celibate.
