Yeah I've heard of him and I know most of the facts of that case. Randy Weaver was paranoid; nobody disputes that. Just because he wrote a script for Armageddon does not require the government to follow it word for word. Nevertheless, the government followed his script virtually unedited and we're diminished by that. The government paid Randy Weaver and we paid with our liberties. Only constant vigilance for our freedoms under the Bill of Rights and the Constitution will prevent abuse of powers by the government when it gets into the wrong hands. We had best remember that. Especially when we vote. Maintaining the Bill of Rights is vital. All of them. Giving up little flakes of freedom in the name of security will eventually strip us of everything. Names like Randy Weaver come to mind. Ever hear of him?

You surely understand that there is a certain crowd in the USA that hordes guns & ammo and hates the IRS. That crowd will be very resistant to peering eyes that belong to the government. I generally think they are nutcases but perhaps they have a few points. I would submit those people are a very insignificant minority of the population. Names like Randy Weaver come to mind. Ever hear of him? Indeed I have. Why do you bring him up? Wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that I have gone on record as being critical of the gross overreaction by the US Marshals Service and FBI to what othewise should have been a routine execution of an arrest warrant?
