In a few years, the CIA will be a shadow of its former self

It should go the way of the OSS and be abolished and reformed from scratch.

The CIA self-destructed by waging war against the WH. Its incompetence allowed W to give it a coup de grace by centralizing its management off-campus and by giving the military intelligence services a lot more responsibility. In a few years, the CIA will be a shadow of its former self.

Just this morning, heard a BBC program on terrorism. And who was the guest expert? Ray McGovern, always introduced as a "27 year veteran of the CIA" as he mouths every moonbat position there is. Al Qaeda only hates our policies, we need to be more evenhanded, they oppose the dictatorial Arab governments we supported, etc.

Anybody happen to know what he did in the CIA and how he left? All I can find out on google is his articles being quoted by truthout.org and commondreams.org, etc.

Btw, these leftist apologies for America and Britain's "policies" (such as having any relations with Mideastern countries) always reminds me of the lines from Pride and Prejudice, where Elizabeth Bennet hears Mr. Collins' initial letter of apology and self-introduction to the Bennet family, and asks her father, "What does he mean by apologizing for being next in the entail? [i.e. being the heir to the Bennet estate] We cannot suppose that he would help it if he could. Can he be a sensible man, sir?" "No my dear, I have great expectations finding him quite the reverse."

Porter Goss has fired 20 of the top CIA people since he took over. That's a good thing. The firing includes the top ME operational guy, who needed to be fired.
