I have an Iranian friend that was an engineer with me in one of the start-ups I worked for. His father had been very wealthy in the Shah era, and had owned several high rise buildings in Tehran. He himself had a dergee from Oxford. After the fall of the Shah, he and his parents fled to America. Now, he supports THEM! Just shows how fortunes can change...

"The House of Sand and Fog" . . Should I see it? I was put off by the trailer. But then I see very few films. An oddity for Los Angeles.
