Well if that is the reactionary reply of the left, "the religious right are all a bunch of snake handlers" It simply is another example of the fact that logic and reason are elements of language that is secret from them.

Clearly the real faith based snake oil saleman are exposed.

I got a kick the other day, reading a 6-Day-Creationist Fundamentalist excoriating people who believe in Intelligent Design as being no better than Darwinists. :)

When you start peeling back the surface, creationists are about as schismatic as Protestants can get (which is considerable).

In its pure form, Intelligent Design types say, "oh, we believe in evolution, we just believe that some Intelligent Designer [whom we don't call God] had to step in from time to time to design the irreducably complex structures, like eyes and flagella."

Well. You can imagine how "we believe in evolution" actually pleases your 6-day-Creationist Fundamentalist.

This is such a can of worms -- I don't have a problem talking about it with my kids, in fact, we do talk about it with them, but it doesn't seem like it's such a great idea unless the parents are willing to get into it.

Aw that word intelligent design is just a bunch of blabber. I think the vast majority of the people of the world understand evolution, however I also think the vast majority of the people of the world believe some higher force was involved in the "kick off". What is there to teach other then to admit the above? No one on earth can PROVE intelligent design, its all a matter of faith. jdn
