Ted, Its interesting how you and Harris and Taro twist and turn everything JF or I or Al or Z says to fit your collective POV Actually I got JF's point, but for a guy who's arguing against overreacting, he sure does a lot of it himself. Besides, do you share JF's viewpoint that guys like me are the true "enemy"? I'm getting there. I don't think the people whom you've put into power have a clue about human nature; that they insist on throwing their weight around after all the evidence tells them its not working. Conditions are worsening here and in Iraq and in the world..........for whatever reason, more and more Americans are finally getting it, and still bush and his cronies continue to deny there is a problem. Naturally, JF is frustrated as am I. Its crazy making behavior. I can't listen to the garbage coming out of Harris's mouth. If he and Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter and Rush and the idiots on the GW Bush thread represent who you are, then I am seeing you all more and more as the enemy. I don't think you know how angry people are who oppose Bush. I don't think you get it at all. He spits in our faces and lies at every turn. Palmeiro was found guilty of steroid use and he says he doesn't believe it. Huh? The guy is a frigging sociopath. Every nite in one of my classes, someone goes on a rant about Bush and the neocons...........so much so, I, yes I, become uncomfortable. By comparison, JF and Z and I are moderate and reasonable people. An innocent Brazilian got killed needlessly and none of you seem to feel anything about this poor guy. I was stunned. I wasn't expecting an outpouring of grief but I though there would be some reflection about the guy......some understanding of what a horrible accident this was and what can we do to change the conditions that led to the accident. Instead, the big concern was about how could we kill more terrorists; about how we could nuke Mecca. I really don't get who you all are.............I'm sorry but its as if you are no longer human; a mob mentality seems to have taken a hold of all of you. BTW its common knowledge that a mob rarely does anything good and in fact, usually makes things worse. Do you know that some group is suing the NYC PD over this inspection of every fifth person carrying a bag or a knapsack? I was surprised that anyone would object. And then I realized what's happening........the left doesn't want to be reasonable anymore. Its come to that. They don't want to work with the right. There is a point where you push people and you push them and then suddenly, like a stubborn animal, they sit down and won't move. That's what I think its coming to.......chaos. You have a president pushing ID and questioning nominees to make sure they do enough exercise. You have the real president disclosing a secret agent's name because he's pissed at her husband. You have a stupid ass conservative reporter disclosing the agent's name on the streets of DC. You have the VP disappearing for months at a time. You have the religious right making outrageous demands that violate the Constitution. You have a senator who is a doctor idiotically opposing stem cell research and then turning around and supporting it.....apparently because it will hurt his presidential run if he doesn't. Congress is spending money like Hitler is on the Potomac moving towards the Capitol. The House Majority Leader is an ex roach exterminator. The US is becoming the most hated country in the world......we are barely talking to our traditional allies. Frankly, I think something big is building; eventually, there will be a snap and then all hell will break loose.
