No you missed my key questions - please answer them - when the irish came - of which some of my ancestors were - was their ancestry very different from the already established of america? were the cultural backgrounds very different? were the educational backgrounds very different?

You are missing my points, ok so you had an american field worker or city guy probably european descent and shared ancient history, and similar type person comes in where history or culture had only diverged maybe for couple hundred years - now that is not what I have seen in these 2 cities of little mexico - you have people that look very different, talk very different, have very very different cultural backgrounds and places where their ancestry grew up in geographic areas - educational levels seem FAR greater in disparity than irish and americans of the past - this makes for LESS ties than irish and americans of the past. More disparity , harder to melt right?

I read about higher education schools and colleges today where blacks WANT TO SEGREGATE - going against the teachings they were supposed to learn during desegregation. If they had more cultural ties to the already established - be easier for the melting pot to mix no? I had many black oh excuse me african-american friends in college tell me its a BLACK thing - you wouldn't understand - and I said you are right, some of my family from mexico - and you wouldn't understand that. You can mix oil and vinegar on your sub sandwich right? But water and oil not gonna mix as good eh? Just give you soggy sloppy mess that doesn't taste so good.
