That's been my contention too...but for some reason it rarely gets mentioned. I wonder why...

Because of it...it will take much higher rates to cool the RE market compared to less tax favored investments.
Meanwhile the gap between the "home haves and have nots" will widen and certain hot areas will get environmentally trampled.
