Tell you what. I'm so sure you are wrong that I will offer you a VERY NICE monetary bonus at my wedding THAT RESULTS FROM YOUR HELP when you set me up with an Australian (citizen) lady that wants to live both in Canada and OZ. I'm dead serious. If she is 'top sort' then you will be driving a new car ;-)

Anyway your statement that everyone wants to get out is absolutely the most ludicrous statement I have EVER heard. I've been their 8 times for long stretches and think I know what I'm talking about.

Good luck to her, it ain't gonna happen imo UNLESS she marries an Aussie

"Hey, don't forget that the young lady is being helped by Elmat!! "

If ELMAT is the great helper then take me up on my offer. PM me your phone number. I am honest. I wouldn't give it out.

Some people in Aus pay high tax, because clever people work out how not to pay. I pay more tax here in the US percentage wise than I did or would in Aus.

Now my friend who is currently in hawaii, he was big party time american and loved to drink lots of beer - so he went to australia - rules - he don't need no stinking rules and such - so he parties there and drinks lots of good australian beer - and when they turn him in for reward and send him to hawaii - I ask him you going back to the land down under - he said no - they party too much - live too fast - a great place to visit - but he would NOT want to live there - so you can exclude him as well from everyone wanting to live there.

This kinda shocked me when he wrote me cause he was party dude number 1 in college - and for him to say somewhere lives too fast just doesn't compute you know - hehe. He said if he was a teen or in his 20's australia would be destination number 1, but after you hit 30 you better move somewhere else because it will eat you up. I watch Mr. Alby Mangels go all over the world, if australia was so great why did he leave it so many times on his World Safari? hehe
