bush doesn't care. other than his outbursts to come from the cognitive dissonance. the american public is subject to the whims of this mad man until they say no more. If we want change it has to start with the fundamentals and defining just a few terms: How do we MEASURE progess in iraq. What is the TIMEFRAME for that progress. We must be OBJECTIVE w/ the data to measure progress. We must have a clearly stated OBJECTIVE GOAL that is measurable. That's about it. Other than that it's all subjective hyperbole from a bunch of snake charmers i.e. bush et al. Clearly doing nothing doesn't work w/ these assholes.

Good post Ted. I would take exception with one part: And let me add one more thing.........terrorists like OBL are clever and they have a fire in their bellies because of their ideology and religious fundamentalism. However, they are still just men. Yet, they have managed to thwart one of the world's largest superpowers not because they are brilliant but because the leaders of the superpower are inept and do not understand the enemy they are fighting. I agree that they don't understand terrorism, but their bottom line was to inflame the public so that they could use terrorism as an excuse for other actions. Iraq, to start. I agree. The way I see it is Bush et al are Dumb to their supporters Dumber. Did you see the post that Al made where O'Reilly goes off on the Iraqi war and the mess it is? Just six months ago he was complaining that liberals and the liberal media were making Iraq look worse than what it really was.......that, in fact, things were getting better. What I am realizing is that these pack of neocons are stupid.......that's why Bush and Cheney look so smart to them and are able to deceive them. [That includes you too, Elroy.] They have to be put out of their misery........sooner rather than later. ted
