I use Baidu a lot in reading Chinese news. I found out GOOG is very lame in providing Chinese news. Almost always put those no-name Tai-Du media, or MinYun media in front of other much more credible news source. So I stop using it for Chinese news. Yes, I know those sites give GOOG more money, and that is what counts.

Actually, Baidu's edge is NOT in overseas market. Its advantage is in China's market! After all, with so much competition, it still has >33% of market share. And do you know that over 70% or higher market share in search engine in S. Korea is that one of their own? Yes, Korea is an island country, while China is a continental country. Yet, I still like to see China has their own search engine for their huge Netzens. How it will be valued will depend on the market, not you or me.

Yes, Baidu sh. does not worth $120/sh. GOOG does NOT worth $300/sh either!
