Karen, When 22 year olds go after 17 year olds are not pedophiles under most state laws. The 'they are not pedophiles' argument is a fatuous bit of PC crap. Pedophiles go after prepubescent children. Some laws extend that to an age of consent, but we are talking about teenagers as old as 18 here. We use family connections and background checks to keep pedophiles out of Cub Scouts. In Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts the age range runs above the consent age defeating the pedophile defense mechanisms. So girls aged 17 are at risk to straight men, but are you arguing that boys aged 17 are not at risk to gay men? Care to explain that? Why is the ACLU not bring a case against the Girl Scouts for preventing young single men from being Girl Scout Leaders? John
