Well, that would make him either not Catholic, or a liar.

But it's the Catholics who won't let Catholics join the Masons. I wish I knew the reason. It seems to be that there are secrets that you can't tell anybody who is not a Mason, but that doesn't make sense because the only secrets you can't keep from the priests are sins.
