Yes, smoking is bad stuff and that is why I quit over a decade ago and it is the best thing I ever did. I know Europeans do have a penchant for smoking but I wouldn't blame it on liberalism... especially considering that most of the tobacco company executives seem to be Conservatives. Maybe it is a Conservative plot to get rid of Liberals ;)? Why they are allowed to sell such a product is beyond me...

Taro, so are there any hotels that don't smell of smoke in Europe? Serious question. I can't stand smoke.

I wish an American chain would create a bunch of non-smoking hotels all across Europe. That would be very popular with Americans visiting Europe.

Some of the most expensive hotels in Paris stink with smoke residual.
