Wireless and cable aren't internal-market competitors. The Bells are natural monopolies - they own the lines, and now they don't have to share. That means the only DSL provider in any given area will be the Bell that owns the lines.

When I decide to get broadband access I choose between DSL and Cable. Cable competes with DSL.
Many are choosing to use wireless rather than any wireline phone. Wireless competes with wireline. The whole point of deregulation was to recognize these facts in the market place that you don't seem to want to recognize even now.
