Many shows are rebroadcast at later times. If you miss the first run, Tivo will pick it up later. I usually miss The Daily Show because of conflicts as you describe, but it picks up the rebroadcast the next morning. Still, I have to choose between some programs due to the two tuner problem, but Tivo asks me and let's me decide what to watch and what to miss when it spots a conflict.

Sounds like you are up to speed on it. We are starting to get as bad on TV as we did on cars. :>)
