Gina, No way is the NYT supportive of The Democratic Party. Judith Miller published The White House's lies about WMD as though they were the truth and the NYT has always been a great outlet for Karl Rove's smears and fiction.

What a load of bull. The paper spent all of last year sounding like Democratic operatives. When the Swiftvets published, the NYT ignored them for weeks, then "discovered" (horror of horrors) that they had actually taken money from Republicans, and shared a lawyer with a Republican campaign - all of which was legal and done equally on the other side by all the prominent Democratic 527s, but the NYT never mentioned that bit. They called the article "A Web of Connections", as I recall. If they hunted half as hard for Al Qaeda we might be in better shape in the WOT.

They never did manage to cover the Swiftvet's charges, except to claim they had been "discredited". I don't think they ever mentioned the charges that were admitted to be true, like the fact that Kerry's tales about "Christmas in Cambodia" were whoppers.
