Dell is offering a new printer and a 19" flat panel upgrade with the model I'm looking at. Haven't even explored the ink thing.

Have to run across the street and eat something., That cup of coffee and apple from this am has worn off.

Back in a bit.

;) M

i buy my ink right off the net. do a search for ink refills if you cannot find it i will look for address. much cheaper than best buy, office max , sams, etc. plus you have alternatives, get your own refilled next time , buy used , or brand new. i buy the used. never a problem in four years, fast service.
ps i don't have a dell printer but check internet first to see if they supply ink for dell computers.

I get a free printer also. I can buy the ink from their website, but I'd rather drive a mile to the Office Max and buy it there so that I can have it immediately.

I am using an HP deskjet now, and it's been a very good printer. The ink is expensive, but readily available.

Forget ordering the special USB cable for $25.00 extra and the ink for another $27 for black and $30 for color cartridge.

I'll take possession of the Dell printer and do some research later.. They get you coming and going.

CB, Unless they have changed things, that Dell printer is just a Lexmark with the Dell name on it, and toner/ink should be available at Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples. She should take her printer manual with her to one, or more, of those stores, and can probably get what she needs there.
