Yes, I missed that one!! That's the great thing about this thread, you can all check up on me!

I didn't see DWOG on the www.oilsands.cc site, where all the lease maps are. I went off the lease maps.

Can you confirm DWOG isn't heavy oil? There are heavy oil projects in oil sands. For example, at Seal BTE.UN (Baytex, the trust) has a heavy oil project and BVI (Blackrock) has SAGD oil sands, also at Seal.

I see old NRs where Sawn Lake, which is recently called oil sands for DWOG, is called 'heavy oil'.

News - Nov 15: Deep Well Oil & Gas, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: DWOG) is pleased to announce that the Company's subsidiary, Mikwec Energy Canada Ltd., has signed a letter of intent with Portwest Investments, Ltd. a private Alberta, Canada company and affiliates, for a US$15 million debenture. The funds will be used to underwrite the drilling of the Company's first series of ten production test wells as planned in the Sawn Lake Heavy Oil Project. Read full PR: biz.yahoo.com.

The above document has expired but the opening paragraph was here:

Maybe that is why it isn't on the lease map?

"Deep Well Oil & Gas Inc. and Northern Alberta Oil Ltd. have purchased the right to develop oil sands in the Sawn Lake area from the Alberta Department of Energy. All regulations and legal requirements with respect to drilling and recovery of heavy oil have been complied with.
