That is just because they are the party in power. When the roles are reversed, the Democrats are bad too. Maybe not as bad as now, but that may have more to do with the particulars of this situation than with the parties in questions.

To many scammers manage to get elected. It might be because the skill set for con men and the skill set for electable politicians overlap so much...
