That is just because they are the party in power. When the roles are reversed, the Democrats are bad too. Maybe not as bad as now, but that may have more to do with the particulars of this situation than with the parties in questions.

To many scammers manage to get elected. It might be because the skill set for con men and the skill set for electable politicians overlap so much...


Your post seems reasonable and may well be accurate. But all I see right now is GOP spending that's over-the-top. Furthermore this chart as primitive and general as it is and only vaguely related to pork suggests your perspective may not be entirely correct:

Hard to say who is worse, especially if one party happens to coincide with your ideology more than the other.
