85 % of our trade is with them. It is a daunting task to take them on. Oil to se asia is our only leverage but it is a dangerous game to play. When I saw the beef moving right on the heels of Cheneys visit to the oil sands, I thought they may have seen the error of their ways but it must have been an advantage to them to trade beef . C

<Thanks Condor: I think Canada has reached a breaking point on these trade issues, it has been endless and relentless. Of course we are over a barrel and that is how it is perpetually screwing us.> How about 'no more power' and 'no more O&G'?? That would wake a few people up! DAK

I think the only solution is to trade cattle and wood lots cross border. Let the CDN wood companies take over the US lots and the US to have to manage the CDN forests. All farmers have to cross the border and apply themselves to raising the other side's herds. Then the complaints would stop. I know the US forest product companies would shut up right quick about the bounty in lower than a snake's belly stumpage fees. They would take the poverty, the high power costs, 1000 mile to market shipping, far stiffer envi regs, and lesser access to wood through out miserly ministries for about 6 months, and be screaming to get south of the border.
