If you can prove what God is then you win the debate.
God is just a word. A very basic word. It means "the unknown", "the ultimate mystery", "the beginning and the end", "the father, the mother, the creator" (all from ancient tribal myths derived from when we were savage pagan tribes.

In other words it means --

?

That's what it means.

You can worship the mystery of existence all you want, but don't try to put a face on God or try and tell us what God intends, intended, did 30,000,000 years ago, or is going to do next, because you don't know nothing. Nobody does. Not even the Pope, the Dalai Lama or anyone else. And if anyone tells you they know what God is they're probably delusional or trying to get money out of you.

God is mystery. That's all it is.

One thing we know. We will all die. And God won't stop it.
That alone should be a wake-up call. But even that statement is not absolute. Thre will always be mystery. Though in 48 years I have never seen a single miracle except the Red Sox winning the pennant.
