thought it more politic to assault you with that post than the thread head, who has the power of life and death over me here ;-) Holly? Holly's pretty harmless. A direct vulgar insult of her MIGHT get you banned. Maybe. Maybe not too. She's pretty tolerant. Yes, suspensions are rare at the strangest times. So are bannings on some threads. Oh well, I don't make the rules. Want too? I'll propose an election to Bob and I'll vote for you. I have far more faith in you than current management.

CR, Rest assured that I am all but allergic to the ban button. I think moderated threads have been the bane of SI. I have never used the ignore function. Those two "features" have gone far in killing the free exchange of diverse thoughts and knowledge in what are purported to be open forums for purposes of enlightened exchanges. What's worse, I see <ignore> and <ban> used primarily as petty little power plays by the otherwise ineffectual and effete. That said, I will be the first to admit there are glaring exceptions to what I have posted above. - Holly
