I'm just expressing why I find this and the myriad other examples of it on this thread so bemusing. I don't understand it, but this thread is amazing. It is basically people like those on this thread that won the last election. These people are not being paid and they are not getting anything (tangible) in return for their advocacy. I don't think they represent more than 2 to 4 percent of the population, but that is enough to make a difference. To understand America today, you have to understand this thread. Bill is doing a terrific job for their side - for whatever reason <gggg>.

kholt, Somewhere along the line, somebody missed a post, or so. I did acknowledge the impressive nuclear arsenal that the Soviets had, and stated that they were not going to use it for all the reasons already posted, and that they had too much to lose in a bomb to bomb exchange. That there is two of the legs. Then I talked about the rear end of the horse, being the terrorists, and that they have nothing to lose, and were more apt to cause damage to America, than the Soviets. That's the other two legs that get the dung on them. As powerful as the USSR was, they never bombed a target in America, or Spain, or England. That tells you that their saber was made of wood instead of steel. Remember how easy it was to spend them out of business. What else is there to say without becoming redundant?
