Right. The hypocrisy is analogous to the alcoholic abusive father comparing pot to meth addiction, and telling his peace freak, pot smoking son that marijuana is dangerous.

The reasoned position takes into account 7 billion consumers of energy and asks how we can hope to reasonably afford a decent standard of living for all.

The primary question here is 'Why Not'?

The question is not 'Why Not Nuclear energy?' That question is already asked and answered pro and con in the usual debate of Green advocates vs development.

The question is 'Why some can have it and not others?' The primary consideration is with fear of nuclear weaponry, and hazard risk management. Those fears should be dismissed if we can truly create the international consortium as proposed in the header.
