I've been through Tucumcari a dozen times. It's main "industry" is it's the biggest truckstop in the southwest. Lots of cheap motels though, suitable for truckers. Some trucker quality, low priced hookers and lots of easily available speed.

exactly my point, seems like a decent place and a great price. No, don't know the place, but there are thousands in rural US at near 3rd world prices which could let some people cash out of their homes near the top - with several $100k left over - and might help diffuse the greater problem of the few overvalued areas with a smaller crash.
