I think that was the point John Henry was making, he can lay track and drive a hammer, cook breakfast, etc etc, but the machine is not so universal. Certainly however there is a point where we have a labor glut and more supply side labor just won't be absorbed eh? As Vosilla says, it will be interesting to see what all these migrants in south florida do when there is no more housing jobs for them - are they supposed to be absorbed into the new SCRIPPS development - I just can't see Pedro going from driving hammers to making biotech discoveries in the course of his working life and time to career change - so what will be left for Pedro to do when he can't build houses in south florida? The liberal women won't give him sex, so that is out, what will he occupy all that new free time with? My mexican friend next door goes to the casino a lot with his free time - he will not go to the library no matter how often I urge him too.
