ot:>>>>one group stands out as increasingly powerful and not quite in step with the old politics of the Left: those who benefit from an expanding government, including public-sector employees, workers at organizations that survive off government money, and those who receive government benefits. In cities, especially, this group has seized power from the taxpayers, as the vast expansion of the public sector that has taken place since the beginning of the War on Poverty has finally reached a tipping point."<<<<

Damn I've written two responses to the above and both grew to sufficient size and tone to be characterized as out of control rants.
So I start afresh and just say WE ARE IDIOTS! We have let our employees pave their lives in gold. These same employees take no part of the Social Security System other than to robe it! They have no stake in it and are piss poor caretakers at best!
Now if I type one more line the vane in my neck will explode.
