OT According to CATO - Expanding government killed Rome, land owners started moving farther and farther away from the consumptive central beast. Where to go to escape today though? People willingly entered slavery under the larger land owners to beat the debt and taxes they would never be able to repay to Rome - the leviathon grew and grew until it had consumed all it could - then like most systems in nature - it collapsed under its own weight and the tower of babel was dispersed - hehe. Clearly the citizen was not as important as the government he came to serve - something the fathers worried about I think.

Its all so confusing, how do we protect the citizen, give him a good minimalist effective government, offer social safety nets etc etc - so so complicated.

I remember this guy SEAL - he sing a song - you never gonna survive unless you get a little crazy David - sometimes you just let go - hehe.
