"Now if this guy can get elected governor of TX" The Kinkster appeals to a lot of Texans. And there is a lot of discontent with the way things are going in this state. Besides, Texans have a long history of voting for someone just because they like them, despite their policies. There wasn't any real discontent with Ann Richards when Dubya got elected. The state treasurer for many years was a man by the name of Jesse James... Who, upon his death, was replaced with Warren G. Harding. I guess people went "hmm, I've heard of him...".
