After watching a supposed methodical, boring Vargas win the fight very umimpressively with a broken jaw from the increasingly accurate punches of Castillejo, I wondered what would have happened if the fight went 12 or 15 rounds like in the old days. Vargas would have been dead meat.
Later I watched the Ken Buchanan/Duran fight from the early 70's in which Buchanan was knocked out by a low blow that the referee said was an abdomen punch. As ZI watched the replay, it appeared that the ref was trying to hold Duran back after the bell rang and Duran may have hit Buchanan VERY LOW with the ref's view blocked. Anyone else have a take on that fight
