Here is a good summary of Duran's career. Pretty amazing to see it in review. Myron

I wondered what would have happened if the fight went 12 or 15 rounds like in the old days.

How about this? All title bouts - 15 rounds
No standing 8 count
Title holder must fight all other title holders in same weight class first.
Then title holder meets 2-10 ranked fighters in his belt division.

Nah. King wouldn't stand for it! "Only in America". Can I get my way with the naive boxing fan.

Buchanan was a tough customer without a doubt and
it's very hard to say what happened at the end of the fight....but Duran was going to win the fight absent a miracle punch. In his prime, Duran was as mean and talented as anybody in boxing.

There is no way I'll spend PPV money on any program featuring Vargas as the main attraction.

I agree. Vargas fought in the way I thought he would, but Castillejo fought even more slowly and...er...European?...than he did versus Delahoya. Still, I think he surprised and hurt Vargas at least once, and Ferocious Fernando couldn't put him away.
