I have been watching the Ali/Tyson films all weekend on ESPN and have a few thoughts about them. I had never seen some of Tyson's early fights and his punching power, as many of you know, was totally awesome; literally lifting some opponents off the canvas with his punches. However a flaw appeared in his 20th fight against Quick Tillis. While he won easily on a decision, Tillis at times went toe to toe with him and was able to jab and move away, and to hold him on the back of the head, ala Ali, while in the clinches. His style would come back to haunt Tyson in the Buster Douglas fight. So in this sense, I think Ali would have taken him. However, in watching Ali, he sometimes could be nailed and floored with a left-hook. If Tyson hit him flush would Ali get up? Also I wonder how he would have fared with a rope-a-dope with Tyson hitting him. I think the early dancin Ali would have put Tyson away in about 5 rounds.
What about Foreman vs Tyson. I think George could have hurt him and put him out. Also because of the size difference.
Marciano vs. Tyson? Maybe Tyson cuzz the Rock could be hit.

Opinions?
